There are plenty of free activities and places to enjoy in Moreton Bay this summer.

The Redcliffe Peninsula has an impressive line-up of free activities to enjoy and places to discover, from parks to lagoons, all right by the foreshore. 

Here's a list of 10 free things to do on the Redcliffe Peninsula this summer.

1. Settlement Cove Lagoon

Cool off at Settlement Cove lagoon, right in the heart of Redcliffe. With a large swimming pool, barbecue and picnic areas, bikeways and playgrounds, the lagoon is the perfect place to swim this summer.

When: Open 24 hours | lifeguards operate from 7am-6pm

2. Redcliffe Art Gallery

The Redcliffe Art Gallery is an air-conditioned haven full of the most extraordinary art created by local, national and international artists. With a vibrant and ever-changing exhibition program, the art gallery is a great place to visit.

Where: 1 Irene St, Redcliffe

When: Tuesday-Saturday | 10am-4pm

3. Bee Gees Way

Whether you’re a diehard Bee Gees fan or are just interested in the history of the iconic band, Bee Gees Way is an exciting attraction to explore, full of Bee Gees history and music.

Where: Redcliffe Pde, Redcliffe

When: Open 24 hours

4. Redcliffe Museum

Redcliffe Museum offers a contemporary look at the people, places and significant moments that have shaped our seaside town.

Where: 75 Anzac Ave, Redcliffe

When: Tuesday-Sunday | 10am-4pm

5. Woody Point Jetty

If you’re on the hunt for the best summer sunset in Redcliffe, head down to Woody Point jetty. The jetty is situated in a stunning spot overlooking the bay and is also a popular destination to go fishing.

When: Open 24 hours

6. Scarborough Pirate Park

Located in the quiet shopping strip of Scarborough Village, Pirate Park is a wonderful area for a family funday. The park has great amenities, including barbecues, toilets, open green space and the beach front. But the most popular feature is the creative pirate-themed park equipment and a cluster of extraordinary trees for climbing.

7. Redcliffe Markets

With fresh farm-direct fruit and vegetables, artisan goods, handmade wares, arts and crafts and much more, the Redcliffe Markets are the perfect open-air place to spend your Sunday. The markets showcase the best growers, makers, builders and bakers in Moreton Bay.

When: Every Sunday | 7am-1pm

8. Redcliffe Library

There are plenty of activities to do this summer at the Redcliffe Library. The library has a cosy atmosphere, with a large selection of books, films and music to choose from to make this summer the most relaxed one yet. There are also public PCs with internet access and a variety of workshops and programs.

When: Monday-Thursday, 8.30am-6pm I Friday, 8.30am-8pm I Saturday, 9am-4pm I Sunday, 10am-3pm

9. Redcliffe Botanical Gardens

Explore a quiet oasis in the heart of Redcliffe, with rainforests, herb gardens, extraordinary water features, the Quota garden and the Wallum heathland. With more than 250 rainforest species and over 1000 bats, the Redcliffe Botanical Gardens are a sight to behold.

When: Monday-Sunday | 6am-6pm

10. Humpybong Creek

Humpybong Creek offers an amazing variety of birdlife and sea life, including turtles, fish and eels. It’s a quiet place to wander along the footpath in nature to see the wildlife that call Redcliffe home.
