The City of Moreton Bay’s best and brightest businesses have been honoured at this evening’s Moreton Bay Business & Innovation Awards Gala.
The event at Eatons Hill Hotel, which attracted 500 guests on October 18, was a chance to shine a light on the contribution businesses and individuals make to the city’s thriving economy.
Mayor Peter Flannery acknowledged the calibre and quantity of nominees in this year’s awards and said it demonstrated how impressive the local business community was.
“I congratulate all of the nominees, finalists, and this year’s deserving winners and commend them for their passion, hard work, and determination,” Mayor Flannery said.
“Recognising our local business champions is important, not only because it celebrates their individual success, but it also elevates the innovative and entrepreneurial leadership our whole economy can aspire to.”
A panel of 26 judges deliberated over 172 entries, to identify 70 finalists and crown winners across 16 categories. See the list of winners at the end of this story.
Hip Hops Brewers was named the City of Moreton Bay Business of the Year, after being honoured across four award categories: Ausbuild Award for New Business Excellence; Mitsubishi Motors Australia Award for Customer Service Excellence; Award for Food and Agribusiness Excellence; and Splice Marketing Agency Award for Entrepreneur of the Year.
Moreton Bay Region Industry & Tourism CEO Natassia Wheeler congratulated the winners on their achievements.
“This year’s awards celebrate everything from accessibility and inclusiveness to customer service, advanced manufacturing, innovation, and corporate social responsibility. There are just so many businesses throughout our city that shine in these categories,” she said.
The Moreton Bay Business & Innovation Awards highlight the success of the 31,000 businesses in the City of Moreton Bay and serve as a pathway to national and international recognition.
