The Zonta Club of Redcliffe was founded 43 years ago and aims to empower women worldwide through service and advocacy to end domestic and family violence.
Simone tells an inspiring and important story about resilience after being hospitalised at the hands of a perpetrator known to her in 2012.
The horrific domestic violence attack left Simone without her sense of smell or sight in her right eye.
Through her determination and the support of family and friends, Simone recovered and decided to use this same courage to raise awareness and give strength to victims to get out of violent relationships.
