Published 11:00am 18 August 2023
Lock in the dates, Moreton Bay Food + Wine Festival is returning in 2024 after more than 20,000 people ate, drank and enjoyed everything the City of Moreton Bay has to offer earlier this month.
From celebrity chefs to pop-up bars, local produce and live entertainment, the annual Moreton Bay Food + Wine Festival has proved it has all the right ingredients as it cements itself as South East Queensland’s tastiest event on the calendar.
Thousands of people attended the festival from August 4-6, rubbing shoulders with celebrity chefs, listening to music across five stages, and sampling the delights of Moreton Bay’s amazing food bowl.
It was so successful, organisers have already locked in the dates for next year’s event. It will be held from August 23-25, 2024.
Headliner and program details will be released later this year.

Moreton Bay Food + Wine Festival is proudly delivered by Moreton Bay Region Industry & Tourism (MBRIT), with the support of major sponsor, City of Moreton Bay, and event partner It’s Live in Queensland.
MBRIT CEO Natassia Wheeler says her team is thrilled with how successful this year’s event was, with more than 20,000 people savouring local flavours and enjoying live entertainment.
“This event continues to be the region’s flagship event and driver in positioning the Moreton Bay region as a destination to visit,” Ms Wheeler says.
Moreton Bay City Council Mayor Peter Flannery says the festival once again demonstrated why it is a popular foodie destination on the culinary calendar, with crowd numbers speaking for themselves.
“Three days of sold-out activities with capacity crowds celebrating the food and lifestyle we love here in Moreton Bay is the perfect postcard for our region city,” Mayor Flannery says.
“Moreton Bay’s billion-dollar tourism industry is on the rise, with 4.3 million visitors coming here annually which is more than double the total visitor numbers to Noosa.”
