Vote #1 Redcliffe Top Tourism Town
Proud Redcliffe locals and happy visitors are being urged to vote for the Peninsula in the 2024 Queensland Top Tourism Town Awards.
The seaside destination is a finalist in the Top Tourism Town Award (population over 5000), with voting open now until May 17. Visit the website to cast your vote.
Presented by the Queensland Tourism Industry Council (QTIC), the annual awards celebrate outstanding regional destinations and honour communities that demonstrate a commitment to visitor excellence.
After an extensive judging process by a panel of tourism experts, QTIC CEO Brett Fraser says it is now up to the public to help decide the winners from a list of 16 finalists.
“We are calling on the public to recognise their best-loved destinations by voting for who they think should be crowned a Queensland Top Tourism Town,” Brett says.
“Each finalist is a local treasure. It is not just the homegrown attractions that drive guests to our regional holiday hotspots. It is the local communities that rally together to provide visitors with an unforgettable and welcoming experience that really put a destination on the map of travellers. The awards celebrate these communities.
“Congratulations to this year’s finalists for working together in making holidaymakers feel welcome, and for demonstrating that you do not need to travel far in our Sunshine State to enjoy an incredible experience.”
Moreton Bay Region Industry and Tourism (MBRIT) CEO Natassia Wheeler says Redcliffe is flying the flag for the broader Moreton Bay community and she hopes locals and regular visitors will show their support by voting.
“Redcliffe continues to be a popular destination for visitors given its proximity to the picturesque Moreton Bay, calm beaches, seaside lagoon, multitude of family friendly parks, dining precinct and the iconic Bee Gees Way,” she says.
“While these are genuine tourism drawcards, it’s the relaxed setting and friendly welcome from locals and tourism operators which truly sets Redcliffe apart.
“It’s also just a short drive from Brisbane’s domestic and international airports and perfectly positioned between Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast.
“I’ll be voting for Redcliffe in the 2024 Queensland Top Tourism Town Awards and I hope everyone else will too.”
