Traders In Purple has broken ground on Orilla, a new development of three and four-bedroom apartments at Woody Point.

It comes just months after the national property group started Marin, on the Scarborough beachfront, where all 80 apartments have sold.

Sales at Orilla have been steady since launching earlier this year, setting a price record of close to $3 million for the area.

Apartments in the eight-storey building range in size from 216sqm to 348sqm and are selling from $1,745,000 to $2,805,000.

Traders In Purple Senior Development Manager Alex Black said downsizers, likely to form the biggest market for Orilla, typically buy as work gets underway.

“In the current market where the construction sector has battled multiple challenges, buyer confidence is buoyed when machinery moves on site,” said Ms Black.

“At Marin we reached 50 per cent pre-sales very quickly after launch, but then it plateaued until we began construction and we very quickly sold out.

“We expect to see a similar uptick with Orilla, particularly given its location, right on the Woody Point waterfront.”

All 32 residences have dual frontage giving cross-flow ventilation for natural cooling and light, luxury finishes, three bedrooms, some with a separate study, ocean facing balconies and a rear balcony extending from a second living space or extra bedroom.

Shared amenities includes a covered outdoor kitchen, barbecue and dining by a tropical swimming pool.

“Proximity to the city and airport is an important point of difference between the Moreton Bay Peninsula and Noosa for instance,” said Ms Black.

“You can have the relaxed coastal lifestyle and still go to the office five days a week if you want, go shopping, out to dinner or a show.

Traders completed Lasail, a 124-apartment and marina development on the Newport waterfront, earlier this year.
