Work starts on new Tradezone
Around 30-40 jobs will be created when Tradezone, Australia’s largest online electrical wholesaler, opens a new distribution centre in Brendale.
Construction started in February on the 1.578-hectare site, which fronts on to Kremzow Rd and Robertson St.
It is planned to finish before Christmas with the 7000sqm warehouse, with more than 80 parking spaces, opening to customers in January or February.
This will be Tradezone’s sixth distribution centre in Australia. The others being in Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and at its head office on the Gold Coast.
A spokesperson said Tradezone had been looking at the City of Moreton Bay for some time to provide a faster delivery service to Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast.
The Brendale warehouse will be Tradezone’s first purpose-built distribution centre and is designed to streamline fast pickups.
It is expected to hold more than $20 million of stock, 10,000 different electrical, solar, HVAC, data and safety products.
More than 10 Tradezone trucks will be part of the fleet delivering to the region twice a day.
Orders placed before 8pm receive goods onsite the following morning. Before 10am get goods by the end of that day.
