Halloween is just around the corner, and there’s a scary amount of things to do for all ages across Moreton Bay. 

Find out where you can get your thrills and treats below. 

Samford Spooky Spectacular

Get ready for a frightfully fun night at the Samford Spooky Spectacular, which will be held at John Scott Park from 4-8pm on October 31.

There will be plenty of eerie activities such as trick-or-treating on Main St, a monster mash costume competition, a fog-filled graveyard, haunted pirate ship jumping castle, bewitched market stalls, zombies, live music, and more.

Halloween Night Market

With dozens of market stalls and food trucks, this family-friendly Halloween event at Old Petrie Town on October 25 is the perfect opportunity to wear your favourite costume, score some free treats, and meet local artisans.

Redcliffe Festival of Frights

There will be plenty of eats, beats, tricks, and treats when the Festival of Frights takes over the Redcliffe foreshore on October 26.

Hosted by Redcliffe Markets, the pirate-themed twilight market will be held at Redcliffe Pde from 4-9pm.

The night will also feature a pirate’s scavenger hunt, trick or treating, a jumping castle, and face painting, and more than 200 market stalls.

Halloween Horrors at Pinot + Picasso

Make your own ghostly creation at the Halloween Horrors art workshop at Pinot + Picasso on October 26, which will be held in conjunction with the Redcliffe Festival of Frights.

The workshop will be held from 6-9pm.

Halloween trivia

Celebrate the spookiest night of the year with a round of trivia at Redcliffe Tavern on October 31, where there will be prizes for the best costumes and lollies for the kids.

Village of the Damned at Caboolture Historical Village

Discover what’s lurking in the old buildings at Caboolture Historical Village’s annual fright night on October 31, which will feature roaming zombies, interactive displays, trick or treating, food stalls, and more.

Kids Halloween disco

Dress up in your best costume and dance the night away at the Mango Hill Tavern from 5.30-7.30pm on October 31.

There will also be plenty of games, treats, a balloon entertainer, and prizes for the best costumes.

Get crafty at The Craft Haven

Unleash your inner artist as you celebrate the spirit of Halloween at The Craft Haven in Clontarf, with six spooky paint parties scheduled throughout the month of October.

Classes include The Vampire Diaries Paint and Trivia night, as well as making your own ghost canvas.

Halloween party and martial arts night

Red Dragon Martial Arts will host two Halloween parties on October 27, which will cater for children of all ages.

The first will be a party for children aged 3-6 years from 5-6.30pm, followed by a party for children aged 7 years and over from 6.30-8pm.

Both parties will feature martial arts and Halloween celebrations, as well as prizes for the best costume in each age group.

Caboolture Halloween Twilight Market

Bring the whole family down to the Caboolture Showgrounds for the annual Halloween Twilight Market on October 26.

There will be a large array of stalls plus trick-or-treating for the kids and a best dressed competition, with all the fun happening from 4-9pm.

Halloween Haven at Morayfield Indoor Sports

Enjoy an afternoon filled with spooky surprises, fantastic costumes and Halloween fun when the Southside Collective Markets hosts its Halloween Haven at Morayfield Indoor Sports Centre on October 26.

Held from 3-9pm, the day will feature themed stalls selling wiccan wares and Halloween decorations, costume parades, prizes for kids and adults, trick-or-treating, and more.

Gay Skate Halloween Retro Skate

Enjoy a night of great music with friendly people in a welcoming environment at the Gay Skate Halloween Retro Skate – an all ages skating event for the LGBTIQAP+ community, families, friends and allies.

All the fun will be held at the Skateway Albany Creek on October 27.
